Black Friday Sale at Avidity ScienceEdstrom Drip-Cool and Spray-Cool systems keep hogs cool and productive in a variety of situations, from farrowing and crated gestation facilities to finishing hog and group gestation buildings.

Conquer Heat Stress Efficiently and Economically

Edstrom is an innovator in the swine cooling market, offering two proven options for relieving hogs from grueling heat stress. Since pigs cannot cool themselves sweating like other animals, summer heat can cause excess stress. Drip-Cool systems are the ideal solution for farrowing and crated gestation facilities, and Spray-Cool systems are preferred for finishing hogs or group gestation buildings.

Both Systems Provide:

  • Simple, maintenance-free operation
  • Reliable performance
  • Low initial cost

Step 1: Mount the Electric Valve/Filter Assembly on the wall or ceiling using the two stainless steel screws provided.

Step 2: Cut the Blue Tubing to length to reach from inlet of Electric Valve/Filter Assembly to the nearest water source connection. Two Barbed Garden Hose Thread Swivel Adaptor fittings are provided for inserting in each end of the tubing. Use the two hose clamps provided to clamp fittings securely in tubing.

Step 3: Mount Spray Nozzle Tee Assemblies over desired location in pens using the stainless steel screws provided.

Step 4: Using the Barbed Garden Hose Thread Swivel Adaptor fitting, connect Blue Tubing Distribution Line to outlet of Electric Valve/Filter Assembly.

Step 5: Cut Blue Tubing Distribution Line to length and install between Spray Nozzle Tees. Secure the tubing as necessary with Loop Clamps and Screws or Nylon Ties provided.

Step 6: If Distribution Line needs to be branched into two directions, install a Barb Tee.

Step 7: At terminal end of a Distribution Line, install short length of tubing to last Spray Nozzle, and then insert Drain Plug at the end of the line.
