Assembler Associate

We have an immediate opening for a quality conscious individual to work full-time in our 1st shift assembly department. Responsibilities will include assembly, testing, inspection and packaging of our products.  Experience with hand tools, measuring equipment and reading drawings and blueprints a plus.  Applicants must be eighteen years of age with a HS diploma or equivalent. 

 

Material Handler Associate

As Material Handler Associate, you will process incoming and outgoing inventory in a timely fashion, transport stock between departments and/or to freight carriers, assist in the performance of inventory counts, safely operate material handling equipment, assist in packaging of outbound orders, and pull stock inventory under the guidance of the Material Handler. 

 

Position Requirements/Preferences

Requirements include the aptitude to quickly understand inventory systems and practices and on-line shipping programs, the ability to display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, and a High School Diploma or equivalent. 

 

Machining Operator (Welding)

 About the Role

As Machining Operator, you will operate multiple types of machinery and equipment throughout the plant as necessary in accordance with Avidity Science specifications and quality standards.  Responsibilities will include operating machinery and equipment within the Welding, Finishing, Machining and Fabrication departments and adjusting and maintaining set-ups (with an emphasis on Welding and Fabrication).

 Position Requirements/Preferences

High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.  The qualified candidate must have the ability to learn to set-up, run and troubleshoot all equipment in Welding, Finishing, Machining and Fabrication in a safe manner, ability to operate and troubleshoot all SPC equipment, read and interpret measuring devices, drawings and blueprints and the ability to display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

    • Help develop a consultative selling proposition utilizing strategic selling methods to pursue and close new business to meet the company’s sales goals in areas including (but not limited to ) lab water purification, control/monitoring of critical lab-related environments, vivarium sales and service.
    • Develop performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the sales process and organizations.
    • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify opportunities such as new products, services, markets, and geographies.
    • Coordinate and contribute with marketing to assist with the development of the brand.
    • Help build and manage go-to-market strategies in targeted regions to drive brand awareness per country/region as well as long-term revenue.
    • Define and structure sales organization to provide effective utilization of resources.
    • Directly manage major and critical developing client relationships.
    • Participate in company strategic planning.
    • Work with Sales Reps to develop detailed account plan including customer overview, business objectives, strategies, and competitive situation.

 

Position Requirements/Preferences

The ideal candidate will have progressive selling and sales management experience in the life sciences, water purification, laboratory or in vivo research/vivarium industry, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Engineering or related field and 10 years’ work experience, excellent relationship building skills, strong mechanical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to effectively manage teams and projects. 

Technical Support Specialist

As Technical Support Specialist, you will deliver advanced technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills over the phone to our internal and external customers in order to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction in accordance with Avidity Science product specifications and quality standards.  This role will serve as the software applications and networking technical support specialist.  Secondly, this role will require a moderate understanding of our watering and RO (reverse osmosis) systems to help support these product lines.

 

Responsibilities will include:

    • Provide advanced technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to our external customers and field service team.
    • Proactively manage, communicate, and solve customer issues/cases relating to active/field equipment.
    • When necessary, continue to manage, but escalate complex or non-resolved customer issues to Engineering.
    • Using actual equipment/products, be capable of demonstrating operation and/or advanced troubleshooting techniques.
    • Provide technical training to our Field Service and Installation teams.
    • Assist with any required equipment setup or calibrations.
    • Assist in the creation and execution of training/troubleshooting material.

 

Position Requirements/Preferences

The person hired for this role will work with our customers’ IT departments to plan and implement the installation and ongoing maintenance of our equipment on the customer network. This role also provides end user support for our web-based data collection, alarm applications, and works with our in-house software developers to understand and correct found issues. 

 

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of three years’ experience in troubleshooting and supporting software and data acquisition systems. The qualified candidate will have the ability to understand customer needs and requirements, translate technical product knowledge to both technical and non-technical customers, read and interpret blueprints and facility drawings, and manage commitments.  Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skill required. Industry certifications such as Network+, MCSE, MCP and MCTS preferred.

** Occasional overnight travel may be required.  This role will participate in the rotation for “on call” customer support as needed/scheduled
