Assembler Associate

We have two immediate openings for quality conscious individuals to work full-time in our 1st shift assembly department. Responsibilities will include assembly, testing, inspection and packaging of our products.  Experience with hand tools, measuring equipment and reading drawings and blueprints a plus.  Applicants must be eighteen years of age with a HS diploma or equivalent.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

    • Help develop a consultative selling proposition utilizing strategic selling methods to pursue and close new business to meet the company’s sales goals in areas including (but not limited to ) lab water purification, control/monitoring of critical lab-related environments, vivarium sales and service.
    • Develop performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the sales process and organizations.
    • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify opportunities such as new products, services, markets, and geographies.
    • Coordinate and contribute with marketing to assist with the development of the brand.
    • Help build and manage go-to-market strategies in targeted regions to drive brand awareness per country/region as well as long-term revenue.
    • Define and structure sales organization to provide effective utilization of resources.
    • Directly manage major and critical developing client relationships.
    • Participate in company strategic planning.
    • Work with Sales Reps to develop detailed account plan including customer overview, business objectives, strategies, and competitive situation.


Position Requirements/Preferences

The ideal candidate will have progressive selling and sales management experience in the life sciences, water purification, laboratory or in vivo research/vivarium industry, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Engineering or related field and 10 years’ work experience, excellent relationship building skills, strong mechanical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to effectively manage teams and projects. 

Sales/Technical Support Representative 

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Sales/Technical Support Representative to lead our business by building and growing sales through strategic partnerships, supporting and expanding our business, monitoring our competitive position and providing technical product support to our customers to ensure the right product selection for their application. Key job responsibilities will include:

    • Build and develop relationships with current and new customers to expand the business and drive sales growth.
    • Provide technical support to customers through in-depth product understanding and product selection matching to meet customer’s needs.
    • Drive new product development and partner with R&D.
    • Identify new sales opportunities and channels.
    • Provide sales support to customers.
    • Respond to requests for RFQ and bids for the private sector and government business.
    • Monitor competitive bid position.
    • Travel as necessary, but no more than 10% travel will be required.


Position Requirements/Preferences

The qualified candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience in sales/technical support, a strong background in customer service, knowledge in water and chemistry, high level analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to translate technical product knowledge to customers. An Associate’s Degree is preferred.  Occasional travel may be required. 

Senior Security and Systems Administrator

Key job responsibilities will include:

  • Development and implementation of security standards, security awareness, system logging and log aggregation including aggressively pursuing and implementing changes and updates to servers, clients, firewalls, anti-virus, WSUS, and other systems required for a secure client, server, and end user environment.
  • System Administration including administer, plan, implement, document, manage, maintain, monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, support, automate, and upgrade of
    • Server and cloud infrastructure, devices, and software based on Windows and Linux.
    • VMWare virtual host infrastructure based on Cisco servers.
    • Various server applications and services including but not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, System Center Configuration Manager, SQL, SharePoint, Exchange, Anti-Virus, WSUS and other server software systems supply end user applications.
    • Various cloud-based applications and services such as Office 365, Cloudflare, DNS Made Easy, and Tenable.IO.
    • LAN / WAN / Wireless / VPN network architecture, devices and security consisting of Fortigate and HP routers, firewalls, and switches.
    • Mobile device architecture and security consisting of Apple and Android smartphones and Windows tablets.
    • Off-site Oracle EBS databases, software, hardware, and network architecture.
  • Monitor and solve critical and high-level security warnings while maintaining business services and operations.
  • Create, manage and test plans for security incident response.
  • SharePoint (cloud and on-premise) management, administration, customization, upgrade, and migration
  • Management of suppliers and carriers providing cloud, off-site hosting, datacenters, Oracle DBA, voice and Internet circuits, and direct connect circuits.
  • Management and testing of backup, disaster recovery, and security solutions.
  • Implement solutions for additional services as required for the organization that fit Avidity Science’s infrastructure. 
  • Provide emergency response to local and remote network and system errors, alerts, and outages.


Position Requirements/Preferences

The qualified candidate will have strong technical aptitude, analytical, problem-solving and issue resolution skills with an attention to detail, the ability to express technical concepts effectively both in verbal and written format and the ability to identify, prioritize and execute multiple projects and tasks to meet business and staff needs.  Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3+ years relevant experience in engineering and administration of systems, security, software, networking, computer hardware, software applications and electronic communication peripherals or a combination of education and experience.
