Customer Service Manager

 We have an exciting new opportunity to join our growing organization where you will have a direct impact on shaping our newly created customer service department in providing exceptional customer satisfaction!  If you are an innovative, strategic and passionate Customer Service Manager, we encourage you to apply.

 As Customer Service Manager you will be responsible for the processes and systems related to servicing our customers and supporting internal sales staff.  You will direct the delivery of administrative and operational assistance designed to promote revenue growth, productivity and exceptional customer service. 

 Key job responsibilities will include:

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and customer service policies to address customer requirements.
    • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals.
    • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs; assure that new or refresher training has been provided to direct reports when necessary.
    • Provide guidance and advice to customers over the phone, email or face to face. 
    • Develop feedback or complaints procedure made with executive staff members to identify and implement procedures to reduce customer complaints.
    • Manage daily department activities including prioritizing workloads, answering questions/concerns, and assisting with escalated calls and setting expectations for processes and performance.

 Position Requirements/Preferences

The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience and demonstrated results in successfully delivering exceptional customer service, the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written format, in-depth understanding of customer goals, objectives, strategies and competitive situation and the ability to develop, manage and measure business plans and strategies. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field and 5 years management/supervision experience in Customer Service, Inside Sales and/or progressive selling experience or a combination of both.    

Machining Operator (Welding)

 About the Role

As Machining Operator, you will operate multiple types of machinery and equipment throughout the plant as necessary in accordance with Avidity Science specifications and quality standards.  Responsibilities will include operating machinery and equipment within the Welding, Finishing, Machining and Fabrication departments and adjusting and maintaining set-ups (with an emphasis on Welding and Fabrication).

 Position Requirements/Preferences

High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.  The qualified candidate must have the ability to learn to set-up, run and troubleshoot all equipment in Welding, Finishing, Machining and Fabrication in a safe manner, ability to operate and troubleshoot all SPC equipment, read and interpret measuring devices, drawings and blueprints and the ability to display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

    • Help develop a consultative selling proposition utilizing strategic selling methods to pursue and close new business to meet the company’s sales goals in areas including (but not limited to ) lab water purification, control/monitoring of critical lab-related environments, vivarium sales and service.
    • Develop performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the sales process and organizations.
    • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify opportunities such as new products, services, markets, and geographies.
    • Coordinate and contribute with marketing to assist with the development of the brand.
    • Help build and manage go-to-market strategies in targeted regions to drive brand awareness per country/region as well as long-term revenue.
    • Define and structure sales organization to provide effective utilization of resources.
    • Directly manage major and critical developing client relationships.
    • Participate in company strategic planning.
    • Work with Sales Reps to develop detailed account plan including customer overview, business objectives, strategies, and competitive situation.

 

Position Requirements/Preferences

The ideal candidate will have progressive selling and sales management experience in the life sciences, water purification, laboratory or in vivo research/vivarium industry, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Engineering or related field and 10 years’ work experience, excellent relationship building skills, strong mechanical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to effectively manage teams and projects. 

Order Entry Coordinator

As Order Entry Coordinator, you will be responsible for accurately entering all Engineering, Manifold, Critical Monitoring and Control (CMC) and Professional Service Agreement (PSA) orders into both Salesforce.com and our Oracle order management software.  This is an excellent, entry-level opportunity to join our growing organization!

 

Key job responsibilities will include:

    • Accurately process Engineering, CMC, PSA and Manifold orders efficiently on a daily basis in Salesforce.com and Oracle.
    • Check the internet for PO’s from various vendors.
    • Process contact, bill to and ship to changes in ERP system.
    • Create order acknowledgment documents.
    • Create and update “scope of work”; and “conditions of service” documents.
    • Update Salesforce.com with new accounts, opportunities, and contacts.
    • Create appropriate project folder information and file orders/paperwork.  Close project files accordingly.
    • Complete vendor/supplier registration and profile forms.
    • Other administrative tasks including filing, scanning, pulling job files, typing quotes and assisting with forecasting.

Position Requirements/Preferences

The qualified candidate will be highly organized, detailed and have excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to work efficiently and independently.  Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and 1-year of related administrative experience.  Experience with Microsoft Office suite is required.  Previous work experience with Salesforce.com and/or Oracle is a plus.

About the Role:

Reporting to the VP, Operations, you will work with engineering, design, manufacturing, sales, and customers to manage, plan, and conduct activities related to the development, application, and engineering of quality assurance standards and manufacturing processes.  This role will also provide leadership and oversight to document control, supplier development, and customer valve and water quality analysis to facilitate internal and external customer satisfaction. 

 This position oversees a small team focused on meeting the needs of our customers by continually seeking solutions that are both quality and customer focused, relying on root cause analysis, research, and a focus on improving metrics.

 Key Deliverables

In year one, the individual in this role will be responsible for:

    • Creating processes to expedite our response times to customers with quality issues.
    • Identifying issues and implementing systems to reduce warranty costs.
    • Taking the current water quality/testing program to the next level.
    • Identifying gaps in the current quality management system and implementing continual improvements where needed.

 Position Requirements/Preferences

    • Must have four (4) or more years of experience in the management of quality systems, ideally in the life science, water quality and/or manufacturing industry.
    • Bachelors in Engineering, Biology, Life Science, Operations Management, or similar.
    • Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis, with a focus on improving on metrics using fact-based methodology.
    • ISO 9001:2015 preferred, or other ISO 9001 experience highly desired.
    • Knowledge and experience in water quality (i.e. water distribution systems, water filtration, water testing, chemical additives, reverse osmosis, chlorination, and acidification) a plus.
