This Check Valve with Shut-Off is designed for installation in the Drip-Tubing line just above the Drip Nozzle to prevent the Drip nozzles from dripping after the supply water has turned off. The Check Valve will open and allow water to flow only when the line pressure exceeds 1.5 psi. When the electric valve on your Drip-Cooling system turns off the flow of water, the Check valve will allow water to flow until the pressure drops to 1.5 psi, at which point it will close, preventing all the water in the overhead lines from slowly draining out between each cycle, and keep them fully charged for instantaneous flow when the next cooling cycle begins.

 

In addition, the unit incorporates a simple T-handle shut-off valve, to permit turning off the flow of water to the Drip-Nozzle completely. This is handy if you want to turn-off the water to an empty crate, etc.

 

The Check Valve with Shut-Off should be mounted in the Drip-Tubing line no more than 3 ft. below the overhead supply for reliable operation.
