The Piglet Trainer Nipple is a special version of the Edstrom Piglet Nipple that has a stainless steel Trainer-screw built into the body. By turning in the Trainer-screw, the nipple can be set to drip slowly. This dripping water helps teach baby pigs to find the water source in the pen. The Piglet Trainer must be operated on reduced water pressures of 15 - 20 psi. Once all piglets have located and learned to operate the nipple, turn out the Drip Adjustment Screw to stop the dripping of water and return nipple to normal function. 5 year Manufacturer's Warranty.
How it Works:
To drink, the pig simply moves the stem by biting on it, releasing water. When the pig releases the end of the stem, the elasticity of the silicone rubber diaphragm located behind the stem head pushes the head back to the closed position, stopping the flow of water.
