Edstrom's standard Hog Nipple Waterer designed for use by pigs 50 pounds and up. Solid 303-stainless steel body, silicone rubber diaphragm; no springs, no orifices, and no screens. Calibrated to discharge 1.5 quarts per minute at 40 psi. Operating range: 0 -50 psi. (Also works well for goats and sheep.) 5 Year Warranty by Manufacturer.
How it Works:
To drink, the pig simply moves the stem by biting on it, releasing water. When the pig releases the end of the stem, the elasticity of the silicone rubber diaphragm located behind the stem head pushes the head back to the closed position, stopping the flow of water.
